Built by tuners, for tuners.
A real cell editor, a real map browser and a real library of files read from real cars — running in a browser tab. Built by people who tune, for people who tune.
Make ECU tuning a browser tab, not a 6-month course.
The desktop tools (ECM Titanium, WinOLS) are excellent — and they cost €2000+, run only on Windows, need a USB dongle, and ship without map definitions until you buy a separate DAMOS pack. The web services are accessible — but you submit a BIN and wait hours for someone else to open it.
Neither serves the tuner who knows what they're doing AND wants to work in a browser. INSTATuner does: real cell editor, map browser, hex viewer, A/B compare, dyno generator, ready-made Stage 1/2/3 catalog, AI suggestions with risk score — all in a tab, no install, no dongle, no waiting.
Four principles. Always.
No black boxes.
Every modification you make is visible byte-for-byte. The audit log shows what changed, when, and why. We don't hide what an AI suggestion did — every patch lists its addresses, deltas, and confidence score.
Risk classification on every edit.
Tuning is engineering, not vibes. Every cell delta is rated safe / moderate / aggressive based on max % deviation from stock, with safety floors per map category (boost / smoke / IQ / SOI / lambda). The editor warns before you cross a known threshold.
No hallucination, ever.
Every map address, ECU profile, and feature recipe is sourced — DAMOS, A2L, or peer-reviewed forum threads. When confidence is low, we tag it ⚠ and tell you. No invented specs on customer-facing copy.
Open data, closed code.
Map definitions, ECU profiles, vehicle data, and the EDC15 encyclopedia we wrote are openly cited and reusable. The platform code is closed-source — that's how we keep IonCube-protected file integrity for Premium / VIP customers.
Boring, battle-tested, fast.
