What's in the library
The library is a read-only pool of ECU files contributed by every TunerSuite installation worldwide. Each file carries:
- Vehicle make / model / generation
- Engine code, displacement, fuel type, stock HP / Nm
- ECU type, manufacturer, hardware number, software number, calibration ID, VIN (when available)
- SHA-256 of the original file + (when present) the modified file
- Stage classification: Original, Stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 3, Stage 4
Three ways to find a file
1. Drop the original
Fastest path. We compute the SHA-256 client-side, race the library, and surface every published version (originals + every Stage already done for that exact ECU).
2. Manual search by SW or HW number
Type the software number (e.g. 1037389883) or hardware number (e.g. 03L906018) into the search box on the dashboard. Exact prefix match runs first; free-text vehicle search runs in parallel.
3. Browse by vehicle name
From the Library page, type "Golf 7 1.6 TDI" or "BMW E90 N47" and the typeahead surfaces matching products. Click through to the detail page for stock + Stage power figures and the dyno overlay.
Detail page — what every number means
- Stock HP / Nm — factory peak figures from the Gains API, keyed by VehicleEngine.id.
- Stage HP / Nm — typical post-tune peak. Real results depend on hardware, fuel, ambient.
- Δ HP / Δ Nm — gain over stock for the highest stage published.
- Fuel saving — combi / full eco — typical city + motorway reductions when the same throttle inputs are used.
Downloads
Authenticated users can download originals or any published Stage. Each successful download counts once toward the daily limit; retries on the same file within the same session are free. Download tokens are single-use and expire in 60 seconds.
